We are the Ise Valley Vagabonds Walking Club and we are registered with the British Walking Federation (BWF), club number BWF 70, and are a member of the International Federation of Popular Sports (better known as the IVV)

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
General
Membership data
If you become a member of the Ise Valley Vagabonds, we will collect your data for the purpose of managing your membership and informing you of club information (e.g. walks, events, news etc.) via post or email. This could involve the transferring your data to an email service.
We will also hold non members data (name & email address) who have requested to be kept informed about club activities
Walk information
When you walk with us, we will collect your data for Health and Safety reasons. we will also use this information to produce anonymised statistical information for governing bodies.

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Facebook Feed WD
This website makes use of Facebook API to receive public data for facebook feed. Facebook feed will load some JS and embedded content which may track visitors. Facebook embeds are regulated under terms of Facebook Privacy Policy

We use Google services to generate maps and provide autocompletion when searching for events by location, which may collect data via your browser in accordance to Google’s privacy policy.
